While 2nd Stage takes a hiatus this season for some much-needed house improvements, they’re taking their shows into the community for a two-week Fringe Theatre Festival in Royal Oak at Five15 on Washington Ave and in Ferndale at Affirmations on Nine Mile Rd. True to the 2nd Stage tradition of staging the non-traditional, these specially curated shows range from local premieres to musical revues. You can purchase individual shows or buy a package. All shows are rated Mature for content.

Created in 1994, The Vagina Monologues examines womanhood and the female experience. Built from hundreds of interviews with real women, this piece is at times funny, warm, heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful that we as human beings can grow together by learning from each other's experiences. Please note: This material contains adult content and graphic language. Running time: 90 minutes.
By A. R. Gurney
Venue: Affirmations
Show dates: July 21 & July 28, both at 7PM
Directed by Matthew Rindfleisch
There's always that one student who tries to pull one over on their teachers. In these one-act plays, both students happen to be taking courses on Greek classics.
