The Stick Wife

2nd Stage

By Darrah Cloud

Cancelled

To our Patrons with tickets to “The Stick Wife

We deeply regret having to cancel the performance of “The Stick Wife”, but the health and well-being of our patrons, actors, crew, and staff is our primary concern.

Please know that this decision not only comes with emotional repercussions, but also financial ones for our organization.

You may request a refund for your tickets, but we ask that you consider converting your purchase into a donation to Stagecrafters.

It’s a meaningful way to support us right now, and it’s an easy way to make a donation.

If you opt to donate, an updated receipt showing that your ticket order was converted to a donation will be sent to you.

Whether you decide to request a refund or to donate your tickets, please email info@stagecrafters.org or leave a message at 248-541-6430.

Please provide the following information:

  • Name on ticket order
  • Order number if you have it (found at either end of your ticket—tiny 8-digit number preceded by a hashtag and ending with an asterisk)

We ask for your patience as we attempt to honor your requests.

Our business/ticket office at the Baldwin is closed, but we will be reaching out to ticket holders and season ticket holders by email and/or phone in the coming weeks.

Sorting through this could take some time, so we appreciate your understanding.

Thank you and stay well.

Housewife Jessie Bliss lives with husband Ed in a small clapboard house in Birmingham, Alabama. The year is 1963. To escape her hardscrabble life and Ed’s abuse, she wraps herself in daydreams. When four little girls are killed in the bombing of a black church, Jessie suspects that her husband and his friends are involved. Her world collapses, as she is torn between choosing what is right or what might keep her safe. Taut and compelling, The Stick Wife presents a riveting view of the often unexplored and unsettling side of tragedy.

  • Due to the intimacy of 2nd Stage and the proximity of the stage to the door and seating area, there will be NO LATE SEATING. Please plan ahead as the exterior doors are locked promptly at 8:00 pm.
  • 2nd Stage is wheelchair accessible via our elevator, however, there is no space for wheelchair parking to watch the show. Patrons must be willing to transfer to a seat (steps involved) if they would like to attend a 2nd Stage production.
