Working A Musical

2nd Stage

March 19, 2020

Dear Patrons,
Following a meeting last night, the board determined that in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, all performances of Working—A Musical have been postponed.

Please know that this decision was not made lightly, but the safety of our patrons, members, and the broader community at large is our top priority. The board will meet again on April 1 for further discussions. We will keep you updated on new performance dates when we know more.

Regarding your tickets to the postponed performances of Working—A Musical, please consider the following options in lieu of a refund:

  • Hold on to your tickets for any of the rescheduled dates. If you choose this option, you don't have to contact us.
  • Turn your ticket purchase into a donation to Stagecrafters. (We’d really appreciate your support at this time!)
  • If you had tickets for last weekend and you’d like to hang on to your tickets, and we haven't spoken with you, don't contact us yet. We'll sort it out when we know the new dates. If you've already spoken with us about your tickets, and you'd like to attend a rescheduled performance, please email info@stagecrafters.org.

If you opt to turn in your tickets for refund or a donation, please let us know by emailing us at info@stagecrafters.org. Please provide the name the tickets were purchased under, the date of performance, and the order number if you have it (found at the end of your ticket—8-digit number preceded by a hashtag and ending with an asterisk). We’ll send you a donation receipt if you choose that option (thank you!).

As our office is currently closed, contacting us via info@stagecrafters.org is the best way to reach our staff. Rest assured we are working hard to meet your requests, and we are getting info out to you as quickly as possible. We really appreciate your patience as we work through this.

Thanks,
Stagecrafters Board of Directors

From the book by STUDS TERKEL. Adapted by STEPHEN SCHWARTZ and NINA FASO, with additional contributions by Gordon Greenberg. Songs by CRAIG CARNELIA, MICKI GRANT,
LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA, MARY RODGERS and SUSAN BIRKENHEAD, STEPHEN SCHWARTZ, JAMES TAYLOR

March 13-15, 19-22, 26-29, 2020

The hopes and dreams, joys and sorrows of the average working American are the focus of this unique, extraordinary musical. Based on Studs Terkel’s best-selling book of interviews with American workers, Working paints a vivid portrait of the men and women who do the work that is so often taken for granted: the schoolteacher, the mason, the waitress, the fireman and the housewife, to name a few. A moving and inspirational look at the lives of everyday people, in song.

  • Due to the intimacy of 2nd Stage and the proximity of the stage to the door and seating area, there will be NO LATE SEATING. Please plan ahead as the exterior doors are locked promptly at 8:00 pm.
  • 2nd Stage is wheelchair accessible via our elevator, however, there is no space for wheelchair parking to watch the show. Patrons must be willing to transfer to a seat (steps involved) if they would like to attend a 2nd Stage production.

pg SQ Running time: estimated 2 hrs

WORKING-2012 REVISED VERSION is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIShows.com.
