Stagecrafters is the only community theatre in the regional area with such a treasure as the Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ in our main auditorium. After years of silence, the organ has been restored. A new blower was carefully lifted to the roof of the Baldwin Theatre in August 2010 and the first concerts were held on April 15 and 17, 2011.
Concert events are co-sponsored by Stagecrafters and Motor City Theatre Organ Society.
Concerts for 2012
Our 2012 pipe organ concert series will be the perfect way to get out of the February chilly weather and inside for some warm ballads and whimsical fun. Our themed concerts are all about love - love that is sweet, and love that has gone sour.
The selection of songs will be both sentimental, a bit on the sassy side and a few to sing along with. The show will highlight the talents of John Lauter at the Wurlitzer keyboard along with the Stagecrafters singers. Make plans now to attend this entertaining post-Valentine's salute that is sure to have your toes tapping and hearts relating.
