The Last Five Years

A contemporary song-cycle musical that ingeniously chronicles the five-year life of a marriage between Jamie Wellerstein,a rising novelist, and Cathy Hyatt, a struggling actress. The story is told from both characters’ point of view.  Cathy moves backward in time and Jamie moves forward, chronicling their relationship. The characters do not directly interact except for a wedding song when their timelines intersect. The Last Five Years is an intensely personal look at their relationship with emotional stories told through song. Bring a tissue.
